Video Blogging

"What is Videoblogging?

Videoblogging is a new form of expression centering around posting videos to a website and encouraging an audience response. It is the next step from text blogging and podcasting." – Videoblogging.info

Danielle recently posted about vlogging on her blog, where she links to tutorials about how to create digital video and other info about vlogging. She also talks about "local vlogfather" Steve Garfield (picture on the upper left there) and his workshop at UMass Boston during the UMass Digital Media Workshops last semester.

Nettrice's video blog has video from a recent meeting that she helped to coordinate with students from Madison Park Vocational High School and MassArt's Academic Compass program. Nettrice's Digital Media with Youth Portal also has some great resources about creating digital video.

ACMEBoston might want to consider vlogging the Media Democracy Group meeting at CCTV coming up later in the month, specially for those who can't make it. This would also be a great way to raise awareness about legislation in Congress that could have a major impact on the future of our media and democracy, that we could also share on the Media Policy Blog.
